Account Settings

Manage your profile, security, and email notification preferences.

3 min read

The Account Settings page lets you manage your profile information, security, connected accounts, and email notification preferences. Access it from Dashboard → Settings in the sidebar.

#Profile Information

The Profile section shows your name, email address, and avatar synced from your Clerk account. To update your name or avatar, click the profile card, which opens Clerk's account management UI.

#Password

Change your password from the Password section. If you signed up with a social provider (Google, LinkedIn), you may not have a password set — you can add one here.

#Connected Accounts

View and manage social login providers connected to your account (e.g., Google, LinkedIn). You can connect additional providers or disconnect existing ones.

#Email Notifications

The Email Notifications card lets you control which emails you receive from Exlitem. Each preference has an on/off toggle that saves instantly.

PreferenceWhat it controls
New messagesEmails when you receive a new message in a conversation thread
Inquiry responsesEmails when an expert accepts or declines your inquiry
Saved search alertsDaily digest emails when new experts match your saved searches
Review activityEmails about activity on your expert reviews
Billing & creditsReceipts, credit purchase confirmations, and billing updates
Product updatesNew features, tips, and platform announcements from Exlitem

All notification preferences default to on when you create your account. Toggle any preference off to stop receiving that type of email. Changes take effect immediately — no save button needed.

Tip: Keep "New messages" and "Inquiry responses" enabled so you don't miss time-sensitive expert replies. You can safely turn off "Product updates" if you prefer less email.

#Active Sessions

View all devices and browsers where you're currently logged in. You can revoke any session you don't recognize.

#Danger Zone

The Danger Zone section at the bottom of the page lets you permanently delete your account. This action:

  • Deletes your attorney profile, cases, shortlists, and all associated data
  • Cannot be undone

You'll be asked to confirm before deletion proceeds.
