Subscription & Billing
Understanding your expert subscription, trial period, analytics, and document management.
Exlitem offers a subscription model for expert witnesses. This page explains what's included, how the trial works, and how to access analytics and documents.
#Free Trial
When you complete onboarding, you receive a 3-month free trial of the Premium tier. During your trial:
- Your profile is fully visible to attorneys
- You get priority placement in search results
- Full analytics access
- No credit card required to start
You'll receive an email 14 days before your trial ends with options to continue.

#Premium Search Boost
Premium subscribers receive a priority ranking boost in search results. When an attorney searches for experts, Premium profiles are weighted higher in the results, making you more visible to potential clients. Pro subscribers also receive a smaller boost compared to Free tier profiles.
The boost is applied automatically — no action is needed on your part. Combined with a complete profile and relevant specialties, a Premium subscription significantly increases your visibility.
#Analytics
Analytics help you understand how attorneys are finding and engaging with your profile. Access them from Dashboard → Analytics.
#Overview Stats
Five stat cards at the top show:

| Search Appearances | Total times your profile appeared in search results |
| Search Clicks | Times an attorney clicked your result from search |
| Click-Through Rate | Percentage of appearances that led to clicks |
| Unique Views | Distinct attorneys who viewed your profile |
#Daily Trend Chart
An area chart shows your Profile Views and Search Appearances over time. Use the period selector to view the last 7, 30, or 90 days.

#Top Search Queries
A table showing the search queries that generated the most impressions for your profile:

| Query | The search text attorneys used |
| Impressions | How many times you appeared for this query |
| CTR | Click-through rate for this query |
Tip: Review your top queries to understand what attorneys are searching for. Update your specialties and headline to better match high-impression queries.
#Views by State (Premium Only)
A table showing which states your profile viewers are located in. This helps you understand your geographic reach.
#Recent Viewers (Premium Only)
A list of the 10 most recent attorneys who viewed your profile, showing:
- Viewer type (attorney, firm, etc.)
- Source (search results, profile page, etc.)
- Timestamp

Note: Analytics for Free tier users are locked with an upgrade prompt. Pro users get basic analytics. Premium users get full analytics including geographic data and viewer details.
#Documents
Manage your uploaded files from the Documents section:
- CV / Resume — upload your current CV. This helps pre-fill your profile and gives attorneys additional context.
- Certificates — upload copies of certifications or licenses
- Other Documents — any additional supporting materials
#Managing Your Subscription
Go to Expert Dashboard → Settings to:
- View your current plan and renewal date
- Upgrade from Free to Pro or Premium
- Update your payment method
- Cancel your subscription
#Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from Settings. Your profile remains active until the end of your current billing period. After cancellation:
- Your profile stays visible but drops in search ranking
- Analytics access is removed
- You can reactivate at any time
